PPP
Purpose, Possibility, and Positivity
PPP (Purpose, Possibility, and Positivity) is a powerful design and evaluation framework designed to help organisations assess and enhance the learning outcomes of their products, experiences, and services.
We have identified key psychological factors which lead to impactful learning experiences. Effective learning experiences are more likely to achieve overall learning outcomes and lead to higher rates of user satisfaction.
Many products, programmes and experiences target learning outcomes for customers or audiences. Whilst it can be tempting to measure your success based on the explicit learning outcomes you want to achieve, (e.g., measuring correct answers on a test, response time, etc.), there are other important psychological elements of learning.
Our model is based on the psychology of learning, such as growth mindset, motivation, self-efficacy, locus of control, rigid vs flexible thought.
Clients have used the framework to: frame and set objectives more effectively, re-align around a newly shared understanding of the initiative/product, and obtain positive, meaningful results in evaluation and user feedback.
See how we incorporated the PPP into our Client Punchdrunk’s project here.
