AMBITION

East City Films, a pioneering immersive storytelling studio, partnered with i2 as the evaluation partner for  their ground-breaking project In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats. This is an award-winning VR experienced  taking audiences back to 1989, immersing them in the euphoric and not quite legal rave scene that  revolutionised music as we know it. The evaluation aims to understand and measure the audience experience of this immersive content,  providing meaningful feedback to the filmmakers while producing robust evidence of success to support the future of the content.

Methods

To achieve this, we employed our research toolkit the Audience Impact Metric (AIM), to gather comprehensive survey data on the experiential, cultural and emotional impact of the content.

Outcomes

The project is ongoing, but the ultimate goal is to deliver valuable feedback that helps East City Films refine their storytelling approach while demonstrating the success of In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats. This  evidence will empower them to confidently secure touring opportunities as well as additional funding to continue pushing the boundaries of immersive storytelling.  If you are interested in using the same tool as East City Films to evaluate your work click here.
